About the Hall of F.A.M.E.

The cost of maintaining a top-notch show choir program issignificant:
costume costs, alone, exceed an average of $600 per student.
That is to say nothing of expenses for choreography,
musical arrangements, and travel.

Since it was established by the Westside Vocal Music Parents
Association in 2002, the Vocal Music Hall of F.A.M.E. has
provided roughly $50,000 to support a show choir program
that has become one of the best in the region.

Hall of F.A.M.E. donations have
• covered transportation costs not included in the school
budget;
• defrayed lodging expenses for overnight trips to competitions
in Missouri, Minnesota, and Wisconsin;
• purchased high-quality costumes and props;
• added, replaced, and upgraded equipment;
• secured the services of renowned choreographers; and
• underwritten more sophisticated musical arrangements.

of the current school year.

• The opportunity to reserve up to 12 seats for Westside High
School’s “Evening of Show Choirs” in May.
