Kyle Avery is in his fifth year as Associate Choral Director at Westside High School.

His responsibilities include directing the Concert Choir (intermediate mixed choir), Simply Irresistible (women’s show choir), Voice Class, and co-directing the fall musical.

Avery received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education (2002) and his Master's Degree in Music Education (2008) from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

Before teaching at Westside, Mr. Avery taught 7-12 vocal music for two years at Logan-Magnolia Community Schools in Logan, Iowa.

Mr. Avery also plays trombone for the Nebraska Wind Symphony and has appeared in productions at the Bellevue Little Theatre, Ralston Community Theatre, and the Omaha Community Playhouse.
